Hans Gutbrod
Hans Gutbrod coordinates Transparify. He has worked with research organizations in North America, Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia, has analyzed think tank finance, and consults on policy research. Previously, Hans led the Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC), overseeing 100+ research projects in diverse fields, the results of which were cited in major news outlets including the BBC, the Economist, and the New York Times. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the London School of Economics. Hans is on Twitter.
Till Bruckner
Till Bruckner manages advocacy for Transparify. Till's professional history includes research and advocacy work for Transparency International, and consulting work for a variety of clients including international donors, think tanks, NGOs, and commercial companies. In 2008-2009, he led a research team at Transparency International Georgia that attempted to track the flow of four billion dollars in post-war foreign aid. He occasionally writes for Foreign Policy and other publications, and is a regular contributor to the On Think Tanks blog. Till holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Bristol, and is on LinkedIn.
Tiko Ambroladze
Tiko Ambroladze oversees the ratings and ensures the day-to-day implementation and coordination of the project. She otherwise also works as a consultant with the Asian Development Bank and with NGOs in Tunisia, where she currently is based. Tiko previously was at the Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC) where she managed the financial execution and coordination of more than a dozen research projects covering the South Caucasus, including World Bank pilot projects on workforce development, and also worked for Saferworld, a British organization focusing on conflict resolution. Tiko graduated from the Georgian-American University in Tbilisi, and is on LinkedIn.
Kristie Evenson
Kristie Evenson adjudicated the ratings. She works as a practitioner on development of policy research organizational capacities with a variety of donors and as a researcher is particularly interested in developing and using policy research to inform donor democratization strategies and interventions. Kristie previously worked with Freedom House, EWI, and Eurasia Group amongst others. She holds a doctorate in Policy Studies from the University of Bristol, a Master’s Degree from SIPA, Columbia University and a B.A. from Macalester College. Dustin Gilbreath
Since June 2016, Dustin Gilbreath manages communications for Transparify. Dustin works for the Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC) Georgia, a Caucasus-based think tank that is Transparify’s institutional home, and also works with the Transparency International Georgia office. He has published extensively on all things Georgia, with his work appearing in the Washington Post among other outlets. Dustin holds an M.A. in Political Science from Central European University, and is on LinkedIn.
Ian Goodrich
Ian has been supporting Transparify's fundraising efforts since September 2016. He specialises in fundraising, programme development, and monitoring and evaluation for non-profits of all shapes and sizes. In recent years, he has worked with the Cash Learning Partnership – a coalition of humanitarian organisations promoting cash transfer programming in emergencies, Oxfam, and the British Red Cross amongst others. Raters
In addition to the support from CRRC, this project relied on the diligence and judgement of raters who delivered more than 700 assessments. Raters included Andreas T., Arpine P., Enrique P., Giorgi J., Madona S., Margaret O., Marlen H., Matthias S., Moritz G., Nana P., Natia M., Rati S., Regina B., Urs B., Vazha B., Yulia B. and Zakaria T., who in addition to English brought language skills in French, German, Georgian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish to the task.
